A bit deceiving really as this is mostly a links page to other pages that are more on point. An About ME page, Vintage Info page, Shipping Info page, Links page, etc. Though there is quite a lot written here it is of little importance other than to those who wish more info on Us and our thoughts.

1st, page load times are of great importance to us but we have Comcast high speed broadband internet and pages jump out at you as soon as you click them. So if you find page loads to be slow let me know as we will just create a page 2 so things will move along at a faster pace. We were thinking 24 pics per page but we can reduce this if the load time is too great.

Ok I think I need to separate out some pages. Not everyone has come to this site to hear of my life and how this site came to be. There are other interesting things here that should be touched on.

I hope you will revisit us occasionally as we intend to keep adding to this site for a long time. But it is just my husband and me and a bit of effort from my girlfriend and my mother. We figure it will take months or longer before we have listed everything we have and we are constantly shopping for new items. Also I have a family obligation as well and must divide my time accordingly. But even though the pages are fairly bare right now they will eventually be full and so I have decided we can go ahead and take orders. OK a bit about us and then more details.

A thought Of mine as well as my mothers and I'm sure most of you. "What ever happened to Glamour?" As my mother said "Getting all dolled up to go out was half the fun" If you look for Slips today you find Chemise ( Basically short slips) and very few really nice Slips. It would seem that Fashion in undergarments has been degraded to that of sex kitten status. There was a time when we would not think of going out if we didn't look our best and that included what we wore under the clothes people saw. It just gave us pleasure to know we were looking our best. This generation has either gotten too used to looking bad or we haven't done our job and seen to it that they are knowledgeable in the finer things in life. I'm not ashamed to admit that I buy my daughter some real nice clothes including her lingerie and sleepwear, and won't let her or my son out of the house unless they look respectable, unless they are going out to play in the backyard. Yes much of it is vintage or gently used but the condition is that of nearly new and the quality and look is considerably better than one would find on today's store shelves. My husband likes it when I put on a dress once in awhile, even if it is just to go shopping. He really likes it when I wear a nice Peignoir and Gown set when we get the kids to bed and just sit and watch TV. Sure I wear jeans and Tee shirts and flannel PJ's but sometimes you just want to feel and look feminine and I just think this is lost on today's generation. They see getting into something nice as being a prelude to sex. Well it doesn't have to be. You can look nice anytime you want and it's fun too. So lets put some Glamour back into your lives and take a few minutes or even an hour or two and make being a woman fun and exciting again! And if we turn a few heads in the process so much the better. Life's too short to spend it wandering around in jeans and tee shirts all the time. Take a few minutes to put on something nice, just for you, cause you and I both know you deserve it. And while we are at it maybe the next generation will learn something about being able to enjoy the finer points of being feminine again.

Viva La Glamour!!!

I really do not understand why today's generation of young ladies? have to wear some of the most unappealing clothing . I list some, but only because it sells and we need the money but for goodness sake try to find the glamour that will attract the right guy. I know it is all about style but if you dress the part do not complain when all you attract is losers. I know this will be hard to believe but I was young once, and yes I wore what was popular, but I grew up in a time when what was popular was also glamorous. But I'll have you know that men still find it attractive when a woman is dolled up. If you are into Gothic and want piercing and black lipstick and nails I cannot say this is wrong as I believe "to each their own" and if this style makes you happy then who am I to say it is not right for you. All I'm saying is if you intend to make something of your life you would have a better chance if you thought glamour and dressed accordingly as more heads will turn and more and better job offers will await you as a result.

A Word on vintage clothing. Collecting Vintage is a passion for many. Many use it as decoration. Our Vintage mannequin came from a ladies home in which she displayed Vintage clothing as decoration. It was a very fine display that added an elegance to the room like no other display of art could have. Vintage is also collected as art in that fashion is art and it is also collected as one would collect paintings, for the monetary value. A 1920's Haute Couture beaded dress can fetch upwards of $100,000.00. ( Not that I'll ever be in that league it is still worth noting.) Some see Vintage Clothing as wearable art. No matter how you derive your pleasure from vintage clothing, know that it is in the pleasure of it that we find value.

Also by its nature vintage is most often pre-owned, but that does not mean it is worn out. We only list that which we deem in very very good to excellent condition. Some of our vintage items still carry the tags as they are new/old stock. But even if gently used you will find our items as if directly from the store shelf unless otherwise noted in the details. Most all our items come from estate sales and are not hand me down throw aways but are of fine quality. If you fancy yourself a person who chooses the path less traveled, a free spirit, someone who is markedly different from the crowd, what better way to express yourself but in what you wear. Vintage clothing sets you apart and yet makes you the center of attention as few if any will be wearing the same as you. The affluent and those who are in the public eye such as movie stars spend tens of thousands to have an original dress or costume. You can have the same at a fraction of the cost. A 1950's era article of clothing will be as original as a garment directly off the drawing board of some Designer.

We will consider any reasonable offer on most that we list. But bear in mind most cost us dearly as we had to buy the entire lot at an estate sale to have but a few worthy of placing up for sale the rest is given to charity. So if making an offer please make it a reasonable one as we are not fond of having to say no.

Just a note about this site.

My hubby, Robert, has spent several weeks building this site. As I was not liking any of the templates, he has built these pages from scratch This site may not be as sophisticated as some but I think he did a fine job considering he had very little knowledge of building a site other than dabbling in a few personal web pages in the past. Also I had him do it twice because although the first site was more elaborate with a left sidebar and fancy buttons and a larger pic on top it was also more cluttered. And what is more important, a snazzy site that takes your breath away or a straight forward here it is and here are the pics so you can navigate easily? I chose the latter. Thanks hubby for making another dream come true. Also our financial situation is not as rosy as we'd like but this site is an attempt to remedy that. We bought a 2 year commitment to the webhosting service so we will be around at least that long and hopefully the site will catch on and we will be around much longer. But in any case this is a 2 year commitment so we will be working as hard as we can to provide you with quality garments at affordable prices. Check back often as we add as we have time.

Just an update. we made about $600.00 off the site in 2 years. It cost us over $300.00 for the site but we feel that as it is paying for itself we will keep it up. But we are not updating as often as we once did. We still have hundreds of items to list but the time it takes to dress the mannequin, take the photos and write the descriptions and post to this site ...well we have a lot on our plate and we will get to it in time but for now I am trying to build Tamicraft Embroidery here locally and what with family and health issues I have little time to devote to this site. I will post as I have time and yes we still are in business having just renewed our hosting for another 2 years. So we are not going anywhere.

A site devoted to providing information on Cerebral Palsy and places to get information of your rights as regards disabilities, the school system (IEP, 504 plan and special needs) as well as local contacts of advocacy sites that will help you to negotiate the system and get the necessary care and services for your child with Cerebral Palsy. We post your articles and have a Forum to talk with others to help each other. We also post our story and our continuing fight for our child's needs in hopes that others may learn from our experiences.

If you have CP or know of someone who does have them go to the www.cpfsn.org site and have them send their stories to post or links to places where others can find useful information. You'd be helping them, me and other people with disabilities.

Please understand that the use of " I " can refer to hubby or myself taken in context. Most all about clothing, vintage dating, embroidery and crafts is me the rest is hubby. But we both contribute to all our sites and use " I " when referring to ourselves. Hubby has little interest in clothing, embroidery and the like but is really into the Cerebral Palsy sites.
