Vintage Vanity Fair Sheer Chiffon Peignoir Size Small / Medium / Large Tagged SML  100% Nylon 1960’s to early 70’s We know this by the Vanity Fair Block Letter tag used in this time frame.   The simple elegance of this Peignoir/Robe will bring to life whatever you choose to wear under it . It is a neutral white and very sheer so no matter what you wear this will only highlight it even more. Wear it by itself for a real stimulating evening. This chiffon robe has a few minor virtually un-noticeable picks that get lost in all the fabric. I would say this is in excellent condition and as it is nearly 40 years old or possibly more you could even say near mint condition for its age. The peignoir: It is open in the front with a double front panel to either side and a single in the back. It fastens at the neck with a single cloth covered button. There is a bit of a ruffle about the neck and sleeve ends.  The neck measures 18 inches 46cm when buttoned. The armhole opening at the shoulder measures 20 inches 51cm The sleeve length from top shoulder seam to end of cuff is 24 inches 61cm. The cuff has elastic and measures 8 inches 20cm relaxed to 18 inches 46cm stretched. Length from top shoulder seam near neck to bottom is 58 inches 147.4cm Bottom Sweep is 162 inches 411.5cm   This is a wonderful vintage peignoir and the couple minor picks do not detract from its glorious beauty. In fact you will be hard pressed to find them unless you hold it up to the light and look through the chiffon to see as I did. Being a white it will go with just about any gown you choose to wear under and as it is so sheer will show all in its splendid glory. So if you want to add a touch of elegance, be a bit flamboyant, or spice up an evening, you have found the right accessory. This Vintage Vanity Fair peignoir will make even the drab come to life.
