14 ft BellBoy runabout 65HP Mercury OB Holscraw
trailer $1985.00 OBO This runabout has been a GEM from the day I bought it
some 15+ years ago and still is. It runs out strong and fast. With a 1971
65Hp Mercury outboard on a classic fiberglass 1958 Bellboy Ballerina, this
little baby flies. Great for fishing or tubing or skiing. 2 new swivel
seats allow you to face aft to watch the inner tuber as well as your
fishing poles. The motor idles down nicely for trolling but gets up and
moves to get you there in a hurry. With just the 2 seats instead of the original back to
back there is quite a bit of room to move around and to place an inner
tube in the boat. The boat has always been garaged since I got it I bought a bigger boat for an expanding family. We were going to keep it as a second boat just for
fishing but we found it easier to just tow the bigger boat and as the
bigger boat has more room to handle company ( which we always seem to
have) we decided to sell this one, or at least try. The boat, motor and trailer have always been
meticulously cared for. Washed down after every use. Always winterized. The trailer has an extra long tongue so you could put
a much larger boat on it but I like it cause you don’t have to get your
vehicle wet when launching or loading. The trailer is a 1958 Holscraw,
rollers for easy loading and painted with some rust. New wheel bearings just
this past winter also installed newer shock absorbers. There are numerous spider cracks in the paint (to be
expected in a boat this age) but the hull is solid and stout with no rot
or soft spots. Will need new navigation lights or at the least a repair of
the old. Probably a battery as well as I had to jump it with my P/U but it
did hold a charge and restarted after I shut it down. I do not know if
this indicates the battery will hold a charge over time as I just started
it to make sure it was still the easy start it always has been and to no
surprise it fired right up 1st time as always, even after a
winters rest. The transom is fiberglass over wood and there is a crack in the fiberglass on the inside of the boat but this is just cosmetic and in no way affects the transom. It is as stout as the day it was made. I could fiberglass over this and paint it and you would never know but I feel it isn't worth the effort. Minor cosmetics here and there but nothing serious. The inner side pockets could use new upholstery or carpet coverings The boat is located at 4024 248th St E Spanaway, WA. 98387 Call me at 253-846-5787 ( no collect calls) Or email
me to arrange a viewing. Please do not waste my time if you do not have
the money, This is a cash sale and sold AS IS. I won’t take payments. I
hold title to both boat and trailer but due to a prior sale fail and
repossession the registration needs to be placed back in my name which
should be done in the next couple days. This is why no payments. Not going
there again. You need to arrange for pick up, as I
will not deliver. Pay cash only, sign the title transfer and drive it
away. Title transfer has taken place since posting this ad. They made them to last back then and if you take as good a care of it as I have, this boat will outlive us all. I will be happy to take it to the lake 10 miles away if you are serious and your only concern is that it runs out good under a load. I know it jumps up and flies so not a problem but if you decide you do not want it after wasting my time. Well, you pay me $20.00 cash before we head out for gas, time and boat launch fees, and if you back out for any other reason you lose it. The only possible reason to take it to the lake is to see how it runs under a load and since I know it runs good the only reason you could even think of not buying at that point is you never intended to. You just wanted a boat ride; so it cost you $20.00 to get one. I’ll of course apply the $20.00 to the purchase price.# s0027 $1785.00 OBO |
