Made from one piece of wood wherein the napkin holder and sculpture are carved from one piece of wood.

There is no gluing of the figure to the holder.

It is all ONE PIECE

These unique and very nice napkin holders are beautifully carved with a set of lions a set of antelope a set of rhinoceros and a set of elephants. There are slight differences as they are hand carved but except for the square verses round bases they are very much alike.

The napkin holder hole measures 1 3/4 inches 4.5cm in diameter they stand 4 inches to 4 1/2 inches 10cm to 11.5 cm tall except the antelope which is 5 1/2 inches 14cm tall. The widest is the rhinoceros at just a bit more than 3 inches 8cm wide.

The Elephants have round bases the Lions square the antelope and rhinoceros one of each.

A bit of polish and these would absolutely glow as they already shine and they are natural.

I’m told these came directly from Kenya and the person who bought them actually watch them being carved.

Would make an excellent table setting for Easter (Noah’s Arch) or Thanksgiving or Christmas or even an African holiday such as the African American Kwansaa.

Or would make a great addition to a Lodge or Cabin setting or use as decoration.

The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

Can you imagine the skill and time to carve each from a single piece of wood ? You can tell by the wood rings that they are.

As these were hand carved and actually bought in Kenya and brought back to the USA, not imported and bought here. It would seem likely there are very few of these in existence and so as a rarity you would most likely have the only set any will have seen. I'm sure they were made for the tourist trade but how many tourists go to Kenya and of those how many purchased these wonderful napkin holders?

A true conversation piece and very beautiful ones at that.
