Retro Vintage 60’s / 70’s  Gaymode  Wicker and Leather and Brass Purse/ Handbag   STUNNING!!!! Like NEW Exterior. Leather bound, Wicker  Purse with Brass Studs, Clasp and Handle Attachments!!!!   The exterior of this vintage wicker purse is in remarkable good condition. A few very minor scuffs on the leather (hardly noticeable) and the rest is like new.   The handles are leather sewn over stiff cord and attached with a hinge pin to allow free movement but sturdy carrying and fits the hand well.   The purse closes with a leather strap that clasps on the side with a turn-button to securely hold it in place.   Brass studs or tacks hold the leather to the sides and give an added elegance to the design.   On the face side there are 2 leather straps with decorative leather rings that run vertical on either side of the clasp. A very nice decorative touch.   Four studs on the bottom for the purse to rest on.   The inside is made of vinyl lining which has some cracking due to age and one seam has started to unravel. The good news is the seam can be re-sewn and the cracking has not as yet produced any holes.   The interior lining is held in place by tacks or studs and none are missing. There is a pocket to one side and the Purse opening is very large allowing easy access. The lining could easily be replaced but I do not think it necessary at this time.   This Purse has definitely been well cared for. This purse came from my Grandmother's Estate. I remember my Grandmother using this purse and one other Gaymode Wicker purse when I was a kid in the early 70’s. I am guessing that these purses are from the 60's to early 70's .  They may be much older this is just my guess and it is based solely on when I first remember them they could be much older even dating back to the 50’s but I cannot say this with any certainty. I only remember seeing them about mid seventies. Also the cracking of the vinyl which is minor but shows age. This purse is the better of the two by far.   THIS IS THE WICKER PURSE YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!!   VERY RETRO!!!!!   EXCELLENT CONDITION ON THE SHOW OFF EXTERIOR!!!!   No damage to the Wicker exterior and looks like new. A Purse to be proud of and an excellent carryall.   Good condition on the interior with some very minor sewing needed to one seam.
