Vintage Beaded SAKS FIFTH AVENUE Purse. Made In France. Latest would be 1940’s pre or post WW II most likely 1920’s to 30’s. It is excellent shape. This purse is done all in tiny beads on the outside, there are no beads missing and no flaws on the exterior that I can see. In the inside of the purse it reads, “Saks Fifth Avenue, Made in France” The inside appears to be silver satin or maybe even silk, with a small pocket on one side.
The inside is also in excellent condition. No rips or tears. There are however two small stains on one side of the inside of the purse. You
may be able to get these stains out. They are minor stains. I almost missed seeing them. Please take a look at the pictures. The handle is a small thin chain that measures 9 inches.
From the top of the purse to the bottom measures about 5 ½ inches. Across the bottom of the purse measures 7 ¼ inches, this is the
widest part of the purse. Across the top of the purse closer to the opening measures 5 ½ inches. The width of the opening of the purse measures about 4 ½ inches. This purse is Beautiful. The best in my grandmother’s collection. She took very good care of this purse. Be sure to take a look at the pictures of the
clasp. I wish that I had some history on this purse. All I know is that it came from my Grandmother. I do not know if it was passed to her from her
mother. The style of this purse indicates the early 1900’s, which means it maybe possible it was handed down. But if my Grandmother bought this for herself it would be from the 1940’s. I am just not that versed in vintage purses. I base my dates on my
grandmothers habits of the time as told by her and my mother. My grandmother is now deceased so I cannot ask her. In any case this would have been the type purse a lady would have
taken with her on a formal evening out. I have taken many pictures to try and capture the beauty of this purse. # n0005 SOLD
